Lash Lift & Tint
Overview
Eyelash lift and tint are cosmetic procedures to curl and color eyelashes permanently. This generally painless and quick procedure works so well that some clients stop using mascara products. For others, it helps shorten their makeup routine by eliminating the need to curl their lashes. Lash curl and tint provides an enhanced look during no-makeup periods.

The Details
How it Works
Your technician will apply a silicone mold or shield onto the eyelid using a non-toxic glue. The artist then curls the lashes using the glue over the mold, which is curved upward and outward to create a curl. The solution is used not just to curl the lashes, but tint them as well. The method is similar to that of a perm, but for your eyelashes—training them to curl upwards instead of sitting straight.
The perm solution is a chemical solution that sits on the root of the eyelashes, between the root and middle of the lash. This procedure is only done on the upper lashes and once adhered to the shield and separated, the final outcome is revealed.

What it Feels Like
Your technician will remove all makeup prior to the procedure. The entire experience is virtually pain-free and most clients describe it as comfortable. Because your lashes are glued down, you typically will do not feel anything that is happening to them and there is little risk of the chemicals getting into your eyes.
Expected Results
While a lash lift and tint is subtle, it makes a big difference. You should see a drastic improvement in lash darkness and length immediately after your first treatment.
The treatment uplifts and curls them from the base up the lash, making them stand out and look longer. When finished, your eyes look larger, your lashes look fuller and longer, and your entire face looks uplifted.
Number of Treatments
One treatment is sufficient to achieve immediate and optimal results in both length and darkness of the lashes. Treatments last anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks and can be repeated thereafter as the client wishes.
After Care
Post-Treatment
Do not expose lashes to excess hot water or steam for 24 hours.
Do not use shampoo, cleansers, eye serums, makeup, makeup removers or creams for 24 hours.
Do not rub or play with your lashes.
Do not sleep on your face or lashes for 48 hours. This can negatively affect the shape of your lift.
An eyelash curler will not be needed, and the use of one could damage the lashes.
Use conditioner for the next 48 hours following your treatment.
Follow Up
The treatment lasts for a regular eyelash cycle, so most clients will see a fade of color and curl anywhere between 6 to 8 weeks after the procedure. Once this occurs, clients can return for another treatment at their leisure.

Side Effects, Risks & Complications
Skin irritation is the most common side effect.
You may also be more prone to irritation due to the chemicals contained in the solution if you have a history of dry eye, allergies and eye or skin sensitives.
Side effects from the solution include blisters, rash, redness, dry eye, watery eyes, inflammation and more brittle lash hair.
