Laser Genesis is used to treat areas of the face, neck, décolletage and body.

Number of Treatments

The number of treatments needed depends on the problem area being treated, but it typically ranges from 4 to 6 treatments spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart.

Depending upon your goals and degree of improvement desired, follow-up treatments will likely be needed. Maintenance treatments every 3 to 6 months will ensure continued skin improvement and delay collagen breakdown.

Post-Treatment

• Redness, swelling and/or bruising may occur, but typically resolves within a few hours after the treatment.

• Avoid excessive sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen.

• Avoid skin irritants and corrective serums for 24 hours.

• Avoid excessive hot showers, saunas and spas for 2 days.

• Consider taking natural supplements or antiviral medications for prevention if you are prone to cold sores.

• You may apply make-up immediately after the treatment if you desire.

Follow Up

• Your initial course of treatments (typically 4 to 6) are spaced out 3 to 4 weeks from one another.
• Depending on the client’s goals and the degree of improvement desired, maintenance treatments may be needed.
• Since, unfortunately, the aging process cannot be prevented and skin will continue to incidentally receive exposure to the environment, continuing to stimulate new collagen is very important.
• Maintenance treatments every 3 to 6 months will ensure continued skin improvement and optimal results.

Side Effects, Risks & Complications

You may experience a minor but tolerable degree of heat or snapping sensation with each pulse of the laser. 

Rarely a minor degree of redness and/or puffiness of the skin may occur after the treatment.
