The Details
How it Works
To remove the wart, laser energy is focused directly on the wart tissue. The majority of the laser light bypasses the upper layers (“epidermis”) of the skin and concentrated on the tiny blood veins that feed the wart near the dermis of the skin.
Treatment Preparation
There is no preparation needed before your laser wart removal treatment.
Your clinician will use a numbing agent and apply it to the site of the wart prior to beginning the procedure to alleviate any pain or discomfort.
Areas that can be Treated
Virtually any area of the body with a wart present can be effective treated. Common areas treated include fingers, finger nails, face and feet.
What it Feels Like
Your clinician will use the laser directly on the wart tissue to safely remove the wart. You may feel a slight stinging sensation during the laser treatment. The heat gradually builds up and you will feel a warming sensation around the infected area.
The site of the wart will be numbed with an agent prior to the treatment. Most clients experience mild discomfort during the short procedure, but you will not feel much pain after the procedure is completed.
Expected Results
Typically, more than two thirds of warts can be cleared using laser treatment.
Immediately after laser exposure, the treated area turns a gray color and then blackens. The wart usually falls off 3 to 4 weeks after the treatment once the tissue has fully disintegrated. Over the next several days, the area will heal and the skin texture and tone will return to normal.
Number of Treatments
Almost all clients require only 1 to 2 treatments for successful and permanent removal of the wart.
In rare instances, additional may treatments may be required.

Side Effects, Risks & Complications
The most common side effects are redness and swelling. Occasionally a blister may occur. These side effects are typically mild and resolve within 7 days.
The wound may be painful for a few days after laser surgery.
Recovery time depends on the location and number of warts removed.
The “Laser Wart Removal” Difference
Chemical agents, liquid nitrogen, and electro cautery are common therapies for the removal of warts. Though usually effective, none work in every case. Recurrence of the wart is often a problem and skin color changes from the therapy are common.
Laser wart removal provides a much higher success rate and far less invasive side effects than such traditional methods.
