The Details
How it Works
The process of permanent makeup is just like getting a tattoo. The technician will use a sterile surgical pen to sketch the area to be tattooed and then put an anesthetic gel on your skin. Using a hollow, vibrating needle, the technician will apply pigment into the top layer of the skin. Each time the needle penetrates the skin, a droplet of pigment is released into the hole the needle makes.
Treatment Preparation
Do not wear any makeup on the day of your procedure.
Avoid the sun and wear a broad spectrum sunscreen.
Avoid tanning or spray tans for at least 4 weeks before your procedure.
Avoid pre-treatment shaving, tweezing, waxing, or exfoliating for at least 48 hours.
Do not wear contact lenses during or within 48 hours following your treatment.
Stop smoking at least 6 weeks before undergoing treatment to promote better healing.

What it Feels Like
Most people experience some discomfort during the procedure. This will vary depending on each individual’s pain threshold and the type of procedure being performed.
To help with discomfort management, your esthetician may apply a topical anesthetic specifically designed for these procedures.
You may experience minor bleeding during the procedure.
Expected Results
Results of these procedures are considered permanent and will vary from client to client. Most colors last between 3 and 5 years, although some may not fade for as long as 10 years.
It takes time to become acclimated to a new look (often this applies to eyebrows which were sparse and unnoticeable before the permanent cosmetic brow procedure).
Lip color can take up to 6 weeks to reflect the final color.
For Eyebrows, what you initially see will be about 20-60% darker, bolder
And more solid than what your healed result will present. There may be some initial swelling in the first couple of days, and the top layers of skin will begin to shed about 3 to 5 days after treatment and you will see a loss of color. Your eyebrows may begin to itch and the pigment may appear somewhat raised. Approximately 30 to 40 days after your procedure, your eyebrows will have had a full cycle of cellular regeneration in which the tattoo has now become a part of the dermis, seen under the dermis and thus maximum results will be visible.
Number of Treatments
Microblading and permanent makeup is a process. Typically, 2 to 3 sessions are required to achieve the desired results.
Your permanent makeup will more than likely not need to be touched up within the first year following your initial series of treatments.
After Care
Post-Treatment
The healing time is different for each individual and procedure.
Colors may appear dark and shiny immediately following the procedure for the first 6 to 10 days, but will soften and lighten during the healing process.
The surrounding tissue may become swollen and red. Use a cold compress to reduce swelling and antibiotic ointment to help prevent infection.
Some itching is normal. Do not pick, peel or scratch the treated area or your color may heal unevenly and you risk scarring or infection.
Do not wear contact lenses during or within 48 hours following your treatment.
Do not resume any method of hair removal for at least 2 weeks after treatment.
Avoid getting the treated area wet as much as possible for the first 7 to 10 days after treatment.
Follow Up
